Serving the Winsted, Winchester Community for 50+ years!
The future generation of the lions club depends on you. The work being done is accomplished by ordinary people just like you. Find the joy in making a difference in the lives of others. Make the world (for your generation) a better place for you, your family, your children, your friends and the people you are connected to from around the world.

The gift of a Lifeline Companion Many Lion Club events are happening right now in support of Dog Guides! To some, these Dog Guides are their eyes, to others, their means to live independently. Help more of those in need to receive a Dog Guide at no cost by participating in Lion Club co-sponsored fundraiser events such as the Purina® Walk for Dog Guilds. |
Ordinary people making an extraordinary difference in the world!
You don’t have to be a saint or a genius to do something great. Small miracles happen everyday because someone like you reached out to a person in need. The Lions Club of Winsted is a fraternal family willing to give back to the community when the need exists. You too can find the joy in working for the betterment of humanity and be a part of something greater then yourself as a member of the Lions Club.
Beginning in 1917
Melvin Jones, a 38-year-old Chicago business leader, asked a simple and world-changing question – what if people put their talents to work improving their communities? Almost 100 years later, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization, with 1.35 million members in more than 46,000 clubs and countless stories of Lions acting on the same simple idea: let's improve our communities. |
When Lions hear the call to action they are there to respond. Browse our collection of stories to find out about projects from those involved – the people in need and the Lions who helped. And, see how our projects improve local communities and lives worldwide.
